We pull attendance data from two different sources — Luma join links and from the Zoom API.

Every guest received a join link that's in the form 

. When they click on that link, they will be redirected to the actual meeting (Zoom, Google Meet, etc).

We track when any guest clicks that link and we show you that information in the Guests tab. You can click on a guest to see if they have joined.

If you connect your Zoom account, we will pull data from Zoom to show you who attended the event in Zoom.

You can find this information on the Insights tab.

Differences Between Join Link and Zoom API

Unfortunately, Zoom does not give us the email address of the people who join the event. Zoom gives us the name of participants and this usually doesn't match their name in the guest list.

So these numbers can be different for a couple reasons:

How does Zoom attendance work?

We use Stripe as our payment processor. This has advantages and some limitations.

If you have a Stripe account, you can link it to Luma and start accepting payments. Or we can help you create a new Stripe account.

, you can create a Stripe account. But your customers can come from anywhere. For example, if you are in Mexico and create a Stripe account with your Mexican bank, you can accept payment from a customer in South America.

Once you have set up your payment details, you can accept payment via credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Note that while Stripe says they support India, we are unable to support Stripe accounts in India due to 

We don't yet support payment methods other than Stripe. We don't support PayPal or RazorPay.

While we'd like to support more payment processors, our focus is on making Luma a delightful place to bring your community together.

We support receiving payments from all countries and can pay hosts in 40+ countries.

What countries can I accept payments from?

We want to support your events around the world, so we have translated Luma into other languages.

We are in the process of improving the translation for more of the site and for more languages. But if you notice anything wrong in the translations, please reach out to us. 

If we know the language for a person, we will show everything in their language — the website, emails, invites, reminders, etc. We will know the language for someone if they've used Luma before.

If we don't know the language for someone, we will send them invites in the language that the host has configured. So if you are using Luma in Spanish and send invites to people who haven't used Luma, those invites will be sent in Spanish. 

If your computer is set to a language, we will try to load the language if we have a translation for it. 

If you want to pick a custom language for your account, you can set your preference at your 

Similar to web, we should show the language based on your phone's settings. 

If you would like to override the language used for the Luma iOS app, you can open the iOS Settings app → Luma → Preferred Language and then choose a language.

We don't sell or share host or guest data with any third party.

We will not sell your data or your guests' data.

Guests will only receive emails about your event, no marketing spam.

We only send helpful marketing emails to users who sign up for Luma and make their first event.
