I’m seeing an old image when I share my link

The Open Graph image is what people see when they share your event on social media or other websites. When creating a Luma event, you can choose a custom image, or Luma will generate one for you with the details of your event.

When your Open Graph image changes, social platforms can take a while to update it on their side, so you may see an outdated image.

On some platforms, you can speed up the process by telling the platform to refresh their cache and grab the new image.

Here’s how to refresh the Open Graph image for your event:

Twitter, Slack, iMessage, WhatsApp, or any other social platform

. Alternatively, wait 5-10 minutes and check the image again.

The social networks may store an old version of the image for your event. You can tell the social networks to use your new image.

Troubleshooting Google Calendar Invites

​When you register for an event, you'll receive a confirmation email with an attached Calendar ICS file. That email should automatically add the event to your calendar (Google Calendar / Outlook).

​If you are finding that events are not appearing on your calendar, you can do a few things to debug this:

​Google has rolled out restrictions to Google Calendar to defend against spam. You can let Google know that you expect to receive emails from Luma by hitting "Yes" on the calendar invite in GMail.

​To add someone to your contacts, hover over their name in GMail until a tooltip appears. Then hit the "+" icon.

Add Your Personal Calendar to Google Calendar

​You can add all of your Luma events to your calendar in one click from your 

​When you add an iCal subscription to Google Calendar, it will appear as a separate calendar and will be updated independently of the emails we send.

Luma should automatically add your events to your Google Calendar. You can see how that works and see how to troubleshoot it.

We send millions of emails a month. Some of these emails will have issues. They won't be delivered or will bounce or be marked as spam.

If we show that an email has been delivered, that means that the email was sent and we received a confirmation from the email provider that the email was accepted.

 mean that the email will show up in the recipients inbox. Email providers often have additional filters after this step.

For certain emails, we will show you if a guest opens the email. 

We track opens by inserting a small 1x1 image into the email. When the user opens the email, the image is loaded and we mark the email as opened in Luma.

This is not a foolproof system — some email clients will refuse to load images and not mark emails as opened while other email clients will load images before the email is opened.

Guests are not receiving my emails. How can I troubleshoot that?

You can ask guests to search for emails from the following addresses and to add these as contacts in their address book:

We don't provide click tracking. We may add that in the future.
