When hosting an event, you may want to let guests purchase tickets when they arrive. Here's how to handle walk-up ticket sales smoothly with Luma:

Create a QR Code for Door Sales

The easiest way to handle door sales is to create a QR code that links to your event page. When guests arrive:

  1. Have them scan the QR code with their phone

  2. They can purchase tickets directly on the Luma website or iOS app

  3. Once registered, they'll appear instantly in your check-in list

  4. You can verify their registration using the Luma check-in app

You can find your event's QR code on the Manage Event page.

Managing Door Check-in

Use the Luma iOS or Android app to check in guests as they arrive. The guest list updates in real-time as new registrations come in, so you can easily verify tickets purchased at the door.

For large events, consider setting up a dedicated registration desk with your QR code prominently displayed and staff ready to assist guests with the purchase process.

Note: We're working on additional features to support card payments and cash collection directly through the Luma app.
