Unlock Codes

​You can create multiple ticket types for your event to give access to different parts of your event, handle different times or sessions, give different audiences different pricing (e.g. student vs GA), and give timed pricing (early bird vs last call). Ticket types are incredibly flexible.

​You can also make a ticket type hidden. This makes it easy to only offer the ticket to a certain group of people. For example, we’ve seen conferences often create a Press ticket that is free but is only offered to press-members.

​Once you’ve created a hidden ticket type, you’ll then be able to create codes that will unlock that ticket. Only guests who have a valid code will be able to register for the ticket. You can create these codes in the “Coupons & Access Codes” section of the Manage Event page.

​When creating an unlock code, you can choose whether or not to also apply a discount. This can be a great way of giving people paid access to an event after it’s sold out. You create a hidden paid ticket type and share it with people. They will be able to bypass the “Sold Out” message and pay for a ticket you’ve reserved for them.
